When to shop red outfits
Red pieces currently ranges from Rs 168 to Rs 1,150,000 on SabKapray across 2,165 in-stock pieces, based on live, in-stock pricing. Red is an occasion colour: it leans festive and bridal-adjacent, so in a red listing the embroidery and fabric explain the price more than the colour does. Decide first whether you are a guest or close family, then compare red pieces from 50+ Pakistani brands on SabKapray and buy on the brand's own site.
Laal is the everyday word for red. Red appears across lawn, pret, festive and wedding wear, so compare inside one category at a time. A listing can name more than one colour, so a red-and-white print may appear here too, while deep red-browns sit on the [maroon](/colour/maroon/) page.

Red shades: scarlet, cherry, crimson and rust
Scarlet and tomato are bright and orange-leaning. Cherry and crimson are cooler and deeper. Rust and brick red sit near brown. Wine and burgundy are red's darker cousins, and those usually appear as maroon on listings.
The difference from maroon is depth: red stays bright in lamplight, where maroon looks nearly black. If you are choosing between the two, compare photos from both pages.
Red at weddings: bride, family and guests
Red is a traditional bridal colour in many Pakistani families, so guests often choose other colours to avoid clashing with the bride. If you are close family, ask what the family plans. Accessories can carry red without a full red outfit: a red dupatta over a neutral shirt, or red embroidery on cream.
At barat and walima the rules differ by family, so check with the host. See shadi and barat for options.
Red for Eid, parties and the working week
A red lawn print with white or cream is a lively daytime choice, and red in chiffon or silk suits festive evenings. In winter, red velvet and karandi look rich and warm.
For daily wear, small red accents in a print are easier to repeat than a solid red.
Red dye, heat and fading
Red is a colour where dye transfer matters. Test a damp white cloth on a hidden seam: if colour comes off, wash separately and consider dry cleaning. Strong sun fades red towards orange, so dry it in shade.
Store red away from white pieces, and read the care label on the brand's page before the first wash.
