How this page is made
Every week we draw about 100 products that we list as in stock, spread across brands so that smaller brands are included. A product is not drawn again for eight weeks.
For each product we open the brand's own page. The price counts as a match when it is within 1% or Rs 50 of the price we show, whichever is larger. Stock counts as a match when the brand also shows the product as available. We also check that our link works and that the image loads.
Where a brand's public product pages can be read reliably and its robots.txt allows it, the price and stock check is automatic. Products from other brands are checked by hand, up to a weekly limit, so fewer of them are covered. Products we could not check are counted separately in the table and are not hidden.
The percentage at the top is the price match over the last four weekly runs. A week is published only when at least 20 prices were actually checked. A brand appears in the brand table only with at least 5 checked samples in those four weeks.
This is our own measurement of a sample, not a promise about every product. Failures are listed, including ones not fixed yet. Three days after an automatic failure we check it again; if a later update has corrected it, it is marked fixed.
Each quarter we may also run a larger check of about 1,000 products on the brands we can read automatically. We publish only our own results.
